Psychedelics

As I grew up, we had the D.A.R.E program in school. We were taught that all "drugs" are bad. But I know now just how much of that was a lie. I've done a few psychedelics as of today. I interact with cannabis about 360 days a year. MDMA helped me unlock how loving and caring I could be towards others. LSD and Psilocybin helped me let go of control and see the universe for what it truly is. I know if you align with a particular religion this may not be you're thing. If you're at the point of wanting to click out of this post, I urge you to hear me out before cursing me as a blaspheme. This is not that. I very much believe in "god." Just not in the way you may think. I'm also not writing this to discuss my thoughts on a higher power. I wanted to write this message because these medicines help(ed) me. If you've already had interactions with the substances I mentioned, or any other psychedelic, then I hope this serves as a reminder that the community exists, and you should share your message with as many people as you can!

The surge across society to educate and promote psychedelic usage as a form of "self-improvement" is growing rapidly. There are many outlets in-which information can be found. There are a few documentaries on Netflix (i.e., How to Change Your Mind, Have a Good Trip: Adventures in Psychedelics), as well as, Amazon Prime (Psychedelia) that help separate the truth from the bullshit we've been lead to believe for so long. I cannot state this enough: DO NOT LET SOMEONE TELL YOU THESE MEDICINES ARE BAD WITHOUT DOING YOUR OWN RESEARCH. These medicines will unlock your mind to allow for healing and growth in ways even hardcore psychotherapy alone cannot. The perfect combination is monitored interaction with the medicine, and subsequent therapy to guide the healing process. However, it is not the only way. If psychedelics are a path that interests you I urge you to look into your family history for mental health "disorders" like schizophrenia. Psychedelics can bring forth the symptoms associated to such "disorders."

I hope you'll at the very least keep an open mind enough to investigate what psychedelics are truly about. I promise you they are not the big bad wolf. I owe my mental health to these medicines. I would not be the loving, grounded, truth seeker I am today if it were not for my interactions with them. My mind is freer than it's ever been, and if you've never experienced the profoundness of being a Psychonaut, I hope someday you will join me. To my fellow Psychonauts, now is the time to spread your message. You know the truth, and your fellow humans need to hear from you. May you be blessed with positive interactions. Peace and love!

"Fuck the drug war. Dropping acid was a profound turning point for me, a seminal experience. I make no apologies for it. More people should do acid. It should be sold over the counter." - George Carlin
